The concept of fruit-flavored fizzy drinks has been around for centuries, tracing back to the invention of soda water in the late 18th century.
The combination of fresh strawberries and carbonated water offered a delightful twist on traditional soda, paving the way for this bubbly beverage to become a summer favorite.
Strawberry Fizz is flavorful, versatile, pretty to look at and comes with a few health benefits too!
Strawberries are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber, making this drink healthy for any time of the year.
Ingredients you need for strawberry fizz
Strawberries - Get good quality fresh strawberries. You can make this with frozen strawberries too, or a mix of both frozen and fresh.
Lemon slices - I will only recommend fresh lemons and not the juice from a bottle. The refreshing flavor of fresh lemon and the juice helps to keep your body hydrated, and you cannot compare that flavor with store bought bottle lemon juice.
Fresh Mint Leaves - Fresh mint leaves will add to the flavor and aroma. You can skip if you don't like the flavor of mint leaves. You can also add fresh thyme leaves, as that too goes very well with fresh strawberries and lemon.
Honey/Sugar - Depending on the sweetness of the strawberry and also based on your taste bud, you have to adjust the amount of sweetener you want to add. I liked to add honey as it not only adds taste but also flavor.
Soda - Now for the fizz part, you can use your choice of soda. Either use plain soda or any flavored unsweetened soda.
Strawberry Fizz is more than just a drink; it's a celebration of summer in a glass. Its vibrant color, refreshing taste, and easy preparation make it an ideal choice for any occasion.
