How to prepare Charred Shishito Peppers ?
You can either prepare these in a cast iron pan on the stove top. Or use the grill.
Just drizzle a little oil on the pan and then layer the peppers without crowding them. Give it 2 minutes, then turn around.
Once done, sprinkle oil, lemon zest and enjoy right away with your choice of dipping sauce.

How to pick the best peppers?
Pick only the bright green ones that feel firm to touch. The yellow or orange ones are not fresh and will lose it's firm crunchy texture.

Ingredients
- 16 oz shishito Peppers
- 1 teaspoon oil
- ½ teaspoon salt or more as per taste bud
Instructions
- Place a cast iron pan on medium high heat and drizzle the oil.
- Layer the Shishito Peppers and let it blister all around.
- Sprinkle salt and enjoy right away!
