    A New Continuation!

April 21, 2013 by Kankana Saxena

I can’t thank you guys enough for taking your time out and responding to my thought, helping me clear my doubts and make a decision. It was not easy. Believe me. The past couple of days, I read and re-read your comments and emails, not knowing what to do. I decided to stay away from technology for a while. I read a book, shinned my toaster, vacuumed twice, baked a pizza and tried two new recipes. All these helped me clear my head and then it hit me.

I don’t have sunny days all the time and neither do I smile all the time. I still haven’t figured out if I like dark moody shots or bright white lights ones, but there is one thing that is constant irrespective of how grumpy I am or how gloomy the day is. I love cooking; I love playing in my kitchen.

With that note, I decided to call my tiny space ‘Playful Cooking’. Phew!! This feels good.

The name is simple, easy to pronounce, easy to spell and it’s me. I wanted that! Sorry if I disappointed some of you with the name change but I hope that my work and my photography would continue bringing the smile on your face even if the name doesn’t.

It will take a while for the change to happen but I am working on it fast. As you can see I am not very good with letting things hang on my head.  And thank you once again so much for being there. No matter how many times I say this, it’s not enough. Thank You!

I read both the posts at the same time, the one where you were confused and the one where you decided to switch. Well, I have to say I was a little disappointed when you said you wanted to change the name.. Sunshine and Smile is so you and your pics.. But now that I know its Playful Cooking, its again so you and your pics too. So, lovely name! 🙂

Kankana, your space will be lovely and creative.
True, it might not be always sunny but I also love dark moody frames which will technically put be 'underexposed'.
However, if that gives you your creative space, do go for it.
I love the b.villae snapshot. Best wishes.

Don't you make any apologies girl. You do what feels right for you in this respect. You are not hurting anyone by changing the name of your blog. People will get over the adjustment. Tis life and you go with what feels right (better) for you in this regard. Congratulations. You did it!

Well, you certainly sound as if a big weight has been lifted! You must feel relieved that you have made the decision. It's a lovely name!

I must have missed out the time you posed the question on the name change for your little creative space, Kankana! Sorry for being a little slow, but I've managed to catch up. Playful Cooking...I dare say it fits you well! It says a lot about you as a cook, someone who is not afraid to experiment and have fun with your foods. I will still remember the name as Sunshine & Smile because it really makes me smile whenever I drop by.

I like the new name. Although sunshine and smile is an awesome name, more generic name would have help me find you earlier. Once found no matter what the name is its your work that brings me back.
      Good luck.
