    Oreo Milkshake

July 10, 2022 by Kankana Saxena

Milkshake are my son's fav summer treat, especially creamy Oreo Milkshake. These days, he makes it at home with a little help from Mumma. It's so easy to make that one shouldn't even wait to go to a restaurant.

I have never been a big fan of milkshake, but Avyan loves it, and we often just order alongside burger for dinner takeout. One of the reason you will not find milkshake recipes in my blog.

This summer I am trying to make that change and some of his favorite milkshake flavors.

He has a long list, but if there is Cookies and Cream Milkshake, that always become his first choice. And what better choice of cookie than Oreo!

    HERE IS THE RECIPE VIDEO

    Oreo Milkshake

Most kids I know love Oreo cookie, and they can pretty much survive on ice cream. So you can imagine their reaction and happiness when you blend these two!

You can make this milkshake with different variety of sugar cookies. But Oreo, in my opinion, works best because, the cream in Oreo adds to the creamy texture. And the cookies give that chocolaty flavor.

Ingredients you need for Oreo Milkshake

    Oreo Cookies

Vanilla Ice Cream - Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream will give the best flavor and here is my Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe

Heavy Cream - I add a little amount while blending. You can also whip some heavy cream and add on top.

That's it! Just three ingredients you need to make this delicious creamy Oreo Milkshake!

To make it extra fancy, you can definitely drizzle some chocolate syrup on the glass before pouring the milkshake. And top it with whipped cream and drizzle more chocolate syrup.

    How to make Oreo Milkshake

In a blender, add just the cookies and run it to crush the cookies for a few seconds.

Add Vanilla Ice Cream, heavy cream and blend until creamy and rich.

When serving, I add some crushed cookies on top and in the glass for that delicious Oreo bites in between.

Can you make the milkshake in advance?

    Absolutely!

I often make enough for two tall glasses. Because this milkshake is enjoyed mostly by my son, he drinks one glass soon after making the milkshake. And I save one glass in the fridge for the next day.

It will not dilute or thicken. It stays perfectly fine, creamy rich and thick.

    Oreo Milkshake

Is it similar to Cookie And Cream Milkshake?

If you like Chick Fil A Cookie and Cream Milkshake than you will enjoy this too. This is very similar to a Cookie and Cream Milkshake. The only difference would be the amount of cookies that goes in my recipe compared to a typical Cookie and Cream Milkshake.

I add more cookies and less Ice Cream. You change the quantity and add more ice cream, the end result will be the white Cookie and Cream Milkshake. As compared to my more brown-ish Oreo Milkshake.

It's delicious that I can promise and my little fella loves it so much! I don't have a sweet tooth, but someday even I find it hard to resist.
