Banana Nutella Cake
Kankana Saxena
The taste of chocolaty Nutella with the sweet and soft banana gives a lovely crumb to this Banana Nuttel Cake. This definitely is a guilt free chocolate indulgence for breakfast or dessert. The Banana Nutella Cake is also loaded with some walnuts for that crunchy bite in between.

Course Cakes, Cupcakes and Muffins
- 4 overripe bananas (I used one to just slice and add on top)
- 3 ggs
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- ⅓ cup Nutella
- 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ cup hot water
- ½ cup walnuts
Preheat oven to 350
In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas and to that crack the eggs
and add the sugar. Give the whisk to make it smooth. Then pour the oil, Nutella and give another whisk.
Sift the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda). Mix everything to form a smooth batter. Pour the hot water and roughly chopped walnut (Save a few walnuts to add on top of the cake).
Grease an 8-inch cake with oil and dust with flour. Pour the batter in it and tap the pan a couple times. Top the cake with sliced banana and few more walnuts. Wrap the side of the cake pan with aluminum foil strip (this will bake the cake with a flat top)
Bake for about 40 to 50 minutes or until it’s baked through. Every oven is different so please keep an eye after 30 minutes. If a knife when poked in the center comes out clean, your cake is baked.
Serving: 9inch cake
