For the apple chips, slice the apple very thinly. Place it in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon powder. Pre heat the oven to 225 F. Place the cookie wire rack on a cookie sheet. Layer the sliced apple on the cookie wire rack. Bake for 1 hour. The edges will curl up and the slices will shrink in size. Depending on the thickness of the apple slices, you might need more time. Once it’s cooled down completely, it will get crisp. Store it in an airtight jar for 1 week!
Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease a big 9-inch baking dish with a little butter.
In a separate mixing bowl, add the almond flour, old-fashioned oats, cinnamon powder, brown sugar and salt. Give it a mix. Grate the cold butter into the mixture and mix it around.
Slice the apple in bite size cubes (discard the core) and layer it in the baking dish. Toss the apple with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
Top the apple with oats and flour mixture. Level it out. Place the dish in the middle rack of the hot oven. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top looks golden brown.
