As much as I love breakfast food, I am quite terrible at putting it together in between the rush and chaos in the morning. So, the usual weekday breakfast consists of oat porridge, toast and fried eggs. However, when I get bored of oats, I make some crunchy granola at home. This time, I made the granola with jaggery, nuts and melon seeds.

Did you guys have a great Easter? We didn't celebrate but certainly enjoyed spotting several cute little bunnies running around with a colorful egg basket in their tiny hands. There were some joyful cheers and lots of laughter. The sky was bright blue and beautiful spring air carried several families to the park. It was pretty clear that people were relishing the Easter weekend. And while you guys were busy boiling, painting, hiding and hunting eggs, I cracked a few and baked a cake!
I probably say this a lot and it's true -- I love trying out new cuisines and exploring new flavors. When the world has so much to offer, why stick to just one kind of food? I am always on the hunt, looking for something new to try and thankfully, my husband also enjoys the journey. Having said that, as much open minded as we are towards food, we are not all that adventurous to try out something bizarre. Bottom line -- it has to smell good, sound good or at the most, look good.
Growing up in a Bengali Family, we ate fish everyday and used every single part of it. I like to deep fry the tail and bite every inch of the crispy end. There are several delicacy dishes in West Bengal that are cooked with fish head. It may sound very un-appetizing for many of you, while for some of us.. party in our mouth!
