The cake, a book and some hot tea; joy in simple pleasures! I grew up eating a lot of home-baked vanilla flavored cake with no frosting. We didn't have a cookie jar to dig in after school but we had a cake box that would hardly be empty. Ma didn't need any special occasion, she just needed some free time in hand and our lunch box would definitely have a piece of cake in it.
Another year flew by giving way to a fresh and sparkling 2012, packed with new dreams and new memories. I wish you all a very Happy New Year and may you live every moment with joy, love and lots of laughter. 2011 was a very special year for me. It not only gave me new friends and new dreams but it also gave me two new passions - food and photography! The year gave me so many things to treasure that words can hardly express my feelings.
This is my 100th post, yes 100.. wow! Can you believe it ??! :) I knew this day would come, but with all the blog-hopping, cooking, writing and clicking, just didn't realize I had written 99 posts and it's time for the 100th! The journey so far has been amazing. Understanding about blogging, different social media, making friends and sharing recipes with them, it's an experience that I am enjoying every single day.
