One Bowl Banana Nut Bread

I didn’t think I would need another recipe of Banana bread until I tasted my cousin’s recipe. He enjoys baking with his kids and on our beach day, he got this super moist loaf of banana bread. It was the best banana bread I ever had and this One Bowl Banana Nut Bread has now become my go-to banana bread recipe. It has delicate crumbs and not dense, crumbly but not dry, the texture and sweetness are spot on too.

It prevents the kids from going sugar high throughout the month. Since last month was my Piscean, Lego lover boy’s month, I wanted to send some treats for the party. These Rainbow Sprinkled Alphabet Shortbread Cookies felt absolutely perfect for the occasion. The teachers loved the idea and the kids left no crumbs in the box.

Rustic White Bread

In the past 6 years, we have shifted houses 5 times. You could say that I am used to the entire process of packing, unpacking, selling and letting go of things. But, it sure doesn’t take away the hassle and especially when there are other trips that fall back to back. At the end of last month, we visited Pune to my brother and sister in-law’s new nest for house warming ceremony; Diwali celebration and family get together. I met one of my cousins after 10 years. Late night gossip, so much laughter! It was a blast. Soon after that,…

Daal Poori/ Deep fried Indian bread stuffed with Lentils — Guest Post for Radhika @ Food for 7 Stages of Life

We Indians are used to eating a lot of flat breads. In most of the Indian kitchens, it's prepared every day and paired with some side dish or lentil soup. Having said that, if you are from eastern India, we are more used to eating rice in our daily meal. It's only after my marriage that I started to cook and eat paratha or roti on a regular basis. One of the most common flat bread preparation is stuffed paratha, which I am still struggling with, but stuffed poori with lentil is something I managed to learn faster.
